The protected woodlands surrounding our farm   provide the perfect  backdrop to our huge paddocks and are home to numerous species of birds and wildlfie. 
 We know that every  horse owner wants the best enviorment for their horse.This includes ample room
to thrive, run and graze. Our well managed paddocks are rotated regularly to ensure your horse will have
the best nutrition and forage throughout the year.
Social Interaction ~
 Horses are social creatures and although
it’s important to cater to this need, it’s equally
important to do so in ways that minimize the
possibility of injuries.
A descriminating horse owner wants a farm 
 with adequate run-in shelter, suitable pasturemates and plenty of room to run. The  rolling pasturelands and  serene enviornment at Peaceful Acres is  the perfect place  for your horse to thrive. The nearby Dragons Run, one of the Chesapeake Bays most pristine waterways  , feeds two natural  wells on the farm providing ALL  the pastures with fresh running water. 
Riding Ring ~
Whether you compete in hunter/jumper, equitation, 
dressage or Western, (or just LOVE the feel of being
 in the saddle)  we know you make a large financial 
and emotional commitment to your horse. We mainatin 
a well groomed training surface, in our 150x200ft. riding arena, to keep you and your horse safe and comfortbale. 
 This will prevent  injuries, such as soft tissue damage 
 and skeletal problems  which can result  from hard 
packed surfaces.  Equally damaging, uneven surfaces
 with inadequate drainage  can result in joint and 
skeletal problems of the legs, back and shoulders.
Our well maintained ring ensures you and your horse 
will enjoy hours of  quality riding time.
Horse Sanctuary ~
For many horse owners, the decision to retire a 
beloved companion is a difficult one. Finding  a farm 
where you can be certian your horse will receive
the best care and paying for board  can be  
physically and financially taxing.
 We are sensitive to this situation and
offer you affordable options should that need arise. 
 It's a comfort to know that your horse can graze their
 days away under our constant supervision and close 
medical care. Our retirees receive the love and attention they deserve. They are  attended to by our family, fed twice daily, and in the cooler weather, are stabled every night in clean, comfortable stalls.
